Oreos have been touted as “milk’s favorite cookie,” and we must say we agree. What’s not to like? Delicious crunchy cookies with that classic creme filling, there’s really nothing like it. That is, except when we’re talking about all of the Oreo cookie flavors available. There are so many to choose from, so which ones are actually worth it? We’re going to put it out there and say that of course the best flavor is the original, but when it comes to variations, there are definitely some hits and misses. Here are the ones you should actually try out.
Double Stuf Oreo
Okay so, these are absolutely the best variation of Oreos because they’re like regular Oreos, just with more of the best part of the original. Whoever came up with the idea of just adding more of the delicious filling is an absolute genius in our eyes.
Oreo Pistachio Thins
You might be thinking that pistachio might be a strange flavor for Oreos, but the fact is, it’s actually an amazing choice. They remind us of pistachio ice cream, and the only way to make pistachio ice cream better is to add some oreo cookies to it, so this is truly a win.
Caramel Coconut Oreo
While this one might not sound like it’s that good, trust us, it’s such a pleasant surprise. The combination of the smooth caramel creme, which has a depth of flavor to it, along with the crunch of the toasted coconut pieces is really an amazing combo. We were not expecting much, but these ended up being so addicting.
Dark Chocolate Oreo
If there was going to be an Oreo for those with “grown up” taste buds, this is the flavor. What’s nice about these is that the creme is not too sweet, which gives the overall cookie a more sophisticated, less saccharine feel. The dark chocolate creme is smooth and velvety and complements the original cookie very nicely.
Oreo Mint Thins
The name of these is dangerously close to the Girl Scout Cookies favorite, but the two are not so comprable in the end. However, these cookies are still a delight to those who like the mint and chocolate pairing.
Fudge Dipped Oreo Thin Bites
These tiny little bites of indulgence are as good as you would imagine a chocolate dipped Oreo would be, which is pretty darn good. It’s probably a good thing that they come in small, bite-sized cookie sandwiches because going back for full sized ones would be very dangerous, very quickly.
